Can I try Linux?
Several Linux distributions comes with a "live CD". This is a CD from which you can boot your computer and try the Linux distributions without making any changes to your computer.
Once you are happy that Linux meets your needs, the live CD then offers the choice of installing Linux on your computer. Be aware that installing Linux is usually a destructive operation, which will delete everything from your computer. Make sure to back up any documents you wish to keep such as music, photos, and documents to an external location before going ahead with the installation.
